1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible
Flathead V8 | Restored Details | $39,500
Perpetrol is proud to present this beautifully preserved 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible, a true American classic with timeless design and elegant factory styling. Showing 80,006 miles, this vintage drop-top blends original appeal with thoughtful updates that enhance reliability and drivability.
Powered by a 221ci Flathead V8 topped with a Model 59 downdraft carburetor and 21-stud cylinder heads, this Deluxe produces 85 HP and is mated to a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission. A Champion aluminum radiator, 12-volt conversion, and dual exhaust give it added performance while maintaining its period-correct character.
The exterior is finished in a rich burgundy and features a Deluxe-level grille, chrome sealed-beam headlight surrounds, and horizontal brightwork that accentuates the car’s elegant curves. Front and rear bumper guards provide tasteful protection and complete the vintage styling.
Lower the fold-flat convertible top to reveal a deep red interior, complete with a two-tone dash, Waltham gauges, and a matching Waltham clock. The car rides on color-keyed burgundy steel wheels wrapped in Coker Classic wide whitewall tires, finished off with chrome Ford Deluxe-logo center caps and trim rings.
This Ford Deluxe is ready for shows, weekend cruises, or serious collectors looking for a clean, mechanically sorted prewar convertible.
